How we collect, use, and protect your information at creditespresso.com. What we share with third parties and why.

This policy explains what information we collect when you visit creditespresso.com, what we do with it, and who we share it with. It's written in plain English because we want you to actually understand it, not just sign it.
Quick summary: you don't have to give us personal info to read articles. The recommendation tool runs on anonymous answers. If you sign up for the newsletter, we keep your email. If you ask for a Spanish PDF, we email it. We don't sell your data to anyone.
Information we collect
Information you give us directly
- Newsletter signup: your email and, optionally, your preferred language.
- Recommendation tool: your answers to the five questions (intent, situation, monthly spending range, spending categories, preferences). Your email is optional, only if you want the PDF emailed.
- Privacy requests: when you exercise your CCPA rights, we collect your email and the nature of your request.
Information we collect automatically
- Visit data: IP address (anonymized to the last octet), browser type, operating system, traffic source, pages viewed. Only after you accept the analytics cookies.
- Technical errors: server logs when something fails, with no personally identifiable info.
How we use your information
- To send you the newsletter you signed up for.
- To generate and email the Spanish PDF you requested.
- To improve the site based on which guides help most.
- To respond to your questions and privacy requests.
- To detect and prevent abuse of the site.
Who we share your information with
We share information only with the providers we need to operate the site. Each one has a specific role and a data processing agreement with us.

We don't share data with external advertisers, sell to third parties, or participate in cross-site advertising networks.
Your rights under CCPA
Whether or not you live in California, we extend the same rights to everyone:
- Right to know. You can request a summary of your information.
- Right to delete. You can request we delete your information (with minimal legal exceptions).
- Right to correct. If something's wrong, we fix it.
- Right to say "do not sell." We don't sell information, but the right is guaranteed.
- No discrimination. We won't deny you service for exercising these rights.
To exercise any of these, use the privacy request page. We respond within 45 days.
Cookies and similar technologies
Analytics cookies don't activate until you allow them in the consent banner. You can change your preferences any time by clicking "Privacy preferences" in the footer.
If your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal, we respect it automatically: no analytics cookie activates.
Children's information
The site is not directed at children under 16. We don't knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a minor has sent us information, email privacy@creditespresso.com and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything material, we announce it on the site and update the "Last updated" date above. Minor edits (typo fixes, broken links) aren't announced.
